Hazardous Wastes are usually defined based on their nature, characteristics and potential adverse impacts on human health and the environment. From a legal point of view, such a definition is derived from one or more of the following intrinsic properties of wastes: Explosive, Flammable, Corrosive, Infectious, Poisonous, Toxic and/or Eco-toxic.
