AFED presents Sustainable Energy report at Energy Management conference in Bahrain 27/11/2013
The first plenary session of the Energy Management Conference which convenes in Manama, Bahrain, on 9-11 December will be dedicated to AFED’s report on Sustainable Energy. The session will be moderated by AFED’s Secretary General Najib Saab, who will deliver an opening statement. Dr. Ibrahim Abdelgelil, Director of Sheikh Zayed Academic Chair on Energy and Environment at Arabian Gulf University (AGU) will present main findings and recommendations of the AFED report, which he co-edited. An expert panel will participate in the discussions.
 
The conference is organized by Bahrain Society of Engineers, Arabian Gulf University and National Oil and Gas Authority. It takes place at the conference center of Gulf Hotel in Manama, and is accompanied by an energy technology exhibition. Topics to be discussed include: Energy security and policies, financing energy sector, global carbon market, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
