With its successful history of planting over 2,091,727 plants in the United Arab Emirates, the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) has continued its initiative under the umbrella of the “One Root, One Communi-tree”.
The continuous initiative has influenced vast members of society to collect and deposit paper, plastic, mobile phones, toners, battery, aluminum cans and tetrapak beverage cartons for recycling.
In result, the participants are awarded with the opportunity to plant indigenous trees under their names.
Being an advocate of environmental protection for 22 years, through “One Root, One Communi-tree”, EEG is able to manage waste in a lively way that helps the environment surrounding us.
Trees do not only provide us with oxygen, but they also reduce greenhouse gas emissions by respiring a factor of carbon dioxide pollution through photosynthesis.
Trees provide food for wildlife, hence preserving our cherished species.
Trees have even progressed to playing the role of a shading system for buildings, reducing the energy used for cooling, through the process of green building.
The finest addition to all of this is the fact that planting trees is a practical, simple, and effective way to better the country and planet we live in.
