(Open Access Government) - A recent study led by the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC) in collaboration with the University of East Anglia (UEA) has raised concern over the lack of current plans to remove carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere.
The findings, published in the journal Nature Climate Change, highlight a significant gap between countries’ climate protection pledges and what is required to limit global warming to 1.5 ºC, as outlined in the Paris Agreement.
