Abu Dhabi, 1-2-2024
The Arab Forum for Environment and Development (AFED) participated in the 12th World Conference on Environmental Education, which was held in Abu Dhabi. AFED Secretary General, Najib Saab, warned of negative trends that herald the end of humans and nature, while ignoring progress in several areas. Instead of scaring students that they may be the last generation on Earth, environmental education has a duty to guide them to be the first generation qualified to establish a sustainable future. He also presented the Environment Education Manual, issued by AFED, and which has become a basic reference for Arab curricula.
