EPA Creates Pesticide Labels to Save Bees 23/8/2013
US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has created new pesticide labels to ensure protection of bees as well as other pollinators.

It is being said that the new labels ban use of neonicotinoid pesticide products at the areas wherein bees are present.

The report has been claiming that a bee advisory box along with a bee hazard icon would be carried out by the new labels. These would have information over routes of exposure as well as spray drift precautions.

As per the findings, neonicotinoids are harmful to bees, even if these are exposed to small amounts of the neonicotinoids. A number of studies have been conducted over time that have given evidence that the pesticides are soluble in water and could endure for years in the environment.
