This teeny weeny deerlet, part of an endangered species called the southern pudú, was born at Queens Zoo in New York a few months ago on the 3rd of May.
Pudús, which are the world’s smallest type of deer, “bark when they sense danger and can climb fallen trees,” which is strange and charming.
The little darling weighed a pound at birth, but may weigh as much as 20 pounds when fully grown —about as much as a pug — and she’ll be about a foot tall.
