A delegation representing the Board of Trustees of Arab Forum for Environment and Development (AFED) met H.E. Dr. Thani Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, the newly appointed Minister of Climate Change and Environment in the UAE. The delegation wished Dr. Zeyoudi success in his new post, and said his appointment reflects the futuristic vision of the UAE leadership. Dr. Zeyoudi joins a group of young professionals in the new cabinet, tasked with diversifying the economy based on sustainability principles and education.
Dr. Zeyoudi had cooperated with AFED in many aspects in his previous post as Director of Energy and Climate Change at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and contributed to some of its reports as co-author. Responding to AFED's pledge of support and cooperation, Dr. Zeyoudi said he still considers himself a part of AFED team.
