The Clean Up Campaign 2015 has wrapped up for another year, attracting the largest turnout across the country since the environmental exercise began in 2002, organizers say.
In the 14th year of Emirate’s Environmental Group’s (EEG) Clean Up UAE, more than 125,000 people volunteered their time and energy to remove tonnes of garbage from every corner of the country.
After a successful series of clean-up events in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah, the campaign ended on December 13 in Fujairah with 1,200 participants helping. (Gulf News)
