A video published recently on YouTube shows various plants exploding in slow motion. All of those plants have something in common, and that is they all disperse their seeds in the same manner — by exploding.
The footage was uploaded to the Smithsonian YouTube channel that explores Earth's history, as well as culture and life. It starts off with the narrator explaining how Violet seeds are stored in a pod, and the pressure becomes quite intense when the pod starts to dry out and the seeds start popping out of the plant. Then the video moves onto Touch Me Nots and Squirting Cucumbers.
