Kuwait's EPA signs agreement with Bahraini Supreme Council for Environment 20/1/2015
Kuwait's Environment Public Authority (EPA) on Monday signed an executive program agreement with the Bahraini Supreme Council for Environment.

The signing took place on the sideline of the International Forum on Economy and Green Technologies, which began activities in Manama earlier today.

EPA Director General Sheikh Abdullah Ahmad Al-Humoud Al-Sabah signed the agreement, along with The Council's Chief Executive Dr. Mohammad bin Daina.

The program comes in implementation of a MoU between the two governments in the field of environmental cooperation and stems out of a mutual desire for collaboration in serving the environment, Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sabah told KUNA.

The program includes exchange of expertise in the fields of geographical information systems, e-training, and dealing with chemicals and customs' procedures related to it, he noted.

On his part, bin Daina noted that Bahrain is seeking to "benefit from Kuwaiti 'pioneer and developed' legislation in terms of the environment." The three-day Forum sees the participation of a significant number of experts bound to discuss environmental-friendly state-of-art technologies and renewable energy.
