This winter, children will get the opportunity to learn more about Arabian arts and animals in the fun, exciting and stimulating environment of Al Ain Zoo.
Children can enjoy an array of recreational and informative experiences during the Winter Camp, which is set to take place later this month.
With a wide range of activities planned for Al Ain Zoo’s winter camp, children will participate in an Arabian arts workshop, a trip to Al Qattara Arts and Crafts Centre, as well as a special visit to the new Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Centre. They will also get to experience giraffe and reptile feeding, and enjoy back-of-house informative sessions and talks with the animals’ closest human companions — their keepers.
Muna Al Dhaheri, Chief of Conservation and Education at Al Ain Zoo, said: “One of our primary objectives is to offer an unmatched visitor experience and learning environment for guests of all ages that reflect the Arab culture.”
The winter camp is open to children aged eight to 12 with an admission fee of Dhs300 that will include all activities, excursions, drinks and snacks. Two sessions will be taking place, with the first set to begin from December 21 to December 25, and the second from January 4 to January 8. All scheduled sessions will take place from 8am to 1pm.
Places for each camp can be booked through Al Ain Zoo’s Discovery and Learning Department at 03-781 1451, or by sending an email to education@alainzoo.ae. Registration closes on Dec 18.
Al Ain Zoo’s doors are open daily from 9am to 8pm (Saturday to Wednesday) and 9am to 9pm (Thursday and Friday).
It is located on the UAE-Oman border and is a short drive from Dubai and the UAE’s capital, Abu Dhabi.
